Jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Circle K Indonesia once again is holding a running competition called Circle K Sunset Run Bali 2023 in Mentasari beach Denpasar, Bali.
Corporate Affair Director of Circle K Indonesia, Gunawan Indro Baskoro stated that they expect that 3,000 runners will participate in the run.
Gunawan also hope that the event, which will be held in July 1st, can speed up the economic growth from tourism through sports.
Corporate Affair Director of Circle K Indonesia, Gunawan Indro Baskoro, stated; “Understanding people’s awareness on the importance of sport for health, we created a breakthrough by holding a run that is one of a kind. We also want to support government’s programs,” during press conference in Verse Luze Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday.
Different from the last three editions, Gunawan says, this year the run will be held in the afternoon, right before the golden hour starts (at sunset).
Sunset Run Bali 2023 is also an event where running lovers from all walks of life gather. Another goal of the event is to promote healthy lifestyle while taking part in a fun and innovative activity, inviting people to have a party and celebrate how healthy it is to run in the beautiful nature of Bali.
Race Director CK Sunset Run Bali 2023, Riena Tambunan, said that Bali is once again chose as the location because it’s a famous destination in Indonesia and the world over with its beautiful scenery and the people are very sportive and cooperative.
Riena stated; “Mertasari Beach is chosen for the location because it has wide roads, shallow water beach that’s safe for family and kids to play around, having an wide enough parking space, with exclusive and accessible area,”.
Sunset Run Bali 2023 is targeting over 3,000 runners to participate and 6,000 visitors to attend. There are two categories; 5K and 10K in which all runners, from running community, young executive and workers, students, ex-athletes, family with kids, and tourists, in which all runners can participate.
Riena hoped that the event can motivate runners to improve themselves to be professional runners and join other running events of bigger caliber.
Registration is open from May 22nd to June 5th with a fee of IDR 300,000 for 5K category, and IDR 350,000 for 10K.
The Sunset Run Bali 2023 promises the total prize and door-prize of IDR 100,000,000. Each participant will get a race pack with t-shirt, bib number, and race bag included.
First, second, and third winners will a get finisher medallion, podium medallion, and cash prize for each category.
In addition to support the government’s program in tourism industry through creating sport events, Circle K also support the government’s program in preserving the nature to avoid erosion in coast line by holding a charity program on July 2, in Taman Inspirasi, Mertasari Beach, by planting 1,000 mangrove seedlings in collaboration with Soetantyo Foundation.
This charity program for mangrove seedlings planting collaborates with culture villages in Bali. Besides that, the theme ‘Wise with Plastics’ also collaborates with Danone Aqua.
Wise with Plastics also provides three-category waste bins (for organic, non-organic, and hazardous wastes) on various spots around the run area, thanks to the participation from cultural villagers of Intaran, Bali.
